We love Autumn. Sweet apple cider, do we love it. The beautiful colors, the newly crisp air, the seasonal food and drinks, and the knowledge that holidays with our families are just around the corner. Before winter's harsh cold and snow storms trap us in our houses for days on end, we thought we'd list some of the reasons we love autumn and include some amazing reader photos submitted to our Flickr pool. We've been out of town for a few days working on something really cool for the site (which will be running in a little more than a week), so this news that Baconfest Chicago found a home at the Stan Mansion in Logan Square was completely missed, although Sula and Rosner were quick to fill the void.

After all the carving is complete and your floors are covered in pumpkin guts, the temptation is to pick up ALL of that newspaper (or garbage bags or tarps) and toss it all in the trash. But wait! You have, within your grasp, a tasty, nutritious snack! And best of all? You’ve already paid for it.

     

With temps expected to slide into frost range by the weekend, it's time to pull out our sweaters and scarves. In spite of this weekend's bump of warmth (just in time for the marathon, of course), Autumn is here and we plan to enjoy it to the fullest.
