Glenn Selig, publicist for former governor Rod Blagojevich, threatened announced earlier today that Blago will make a public statement later today - 5 p.m. - to address his upcoming trial and the federal case against him. Selig called Blago's prepared remarks his "strongest public statement to date" on the trial, slated to start June 3. Because our ex-gov hasn't said anything at all over the last 14 months proclaiming his innocence? We just hope he talks about Harry Potter.

Blago To Make "Strong Public Statement"
Saddle Up, Granny!
Free rides for seniors starts today. You remember free rides for seniors, right? That was the the program that Blagojevich added to the CTA bail out. (Said Blagojevich, "it's like the little boy with a pile of horse manure, I kept digging cheerfully in that and found a pony in there -- the pony is free public transportation for all seniors in the state of Illinois.")
