The Price Is Right For WWE: Monday Night Raw
This Monday WWE will roll into town to film their weekly live television event “Monday Night Raw” at Allstate Arena in Rosemont. Who’s hosting this three-ring circus, you ask? Well, none other than Bob Barker, of course. The price was clearly right, in this instance. And, if past special guests are any indication, the former “Price is Right” host, now 85, will likely take part in the ongoing antics throughout the broadcast (just a month ago “Entourage” star Jeremy Piven pranced the ring and was even used as a prop). Considering the right hook he had going in the Gilmore bout, we think we'll put money on The Bark. Sure, that was over a decade ago, but since when did Mr. Barker age?
Bob Barker's Showcase Showdown For Animal Control
Bob Barker visited the Chicago City Council yesterday, to speak on behalf of his favorite cause: spaying and neutering pets. Greeted with a standing ovation, Barker addressed the council, calling the spay/neuter legislation a movement. “When we come to this wall which is seemingly impossible to get over, the only answer is legislation….It’s the obvious answer. …The movement for spay and neuter legislation is sweeping across this country," Barker said, pointing to Los Angeles, San Antonio and Dallas as cities that have mandated fixing pets. He also added, "Something has to be done. It's leading to just reprehensible animal suffering and it's costing a fortune for the taxpayers."
Bob Barker to Come on Down (to City Hall)
Animal activist and retired game-show host Bob Barker will testify before the Chicago City Council this morning, supporting a proposed ordinance that would require pet owners to spay or neuter their pets once they reach six months in age. "One of our most tragic animal problems is overpopulation and this ordinance would help immeasurably to solve that problem" Barker said in a statement released through Alderman Ed Burke's 14th Ward office. Burke, along with 19th Ward Alderman Virginia Rugai, is sponsoring the ordinance to reduce the number of homeless dogs and cats in the city.
