Sun-Times colleague Lynn Sweet is reporting that columnist/pundit Robert Novak has lost his battle with brain cancer and passed away early this morning at the age of 78. Novak, a Joliet native, had been with the Sun-Times since 1966. The Prince of Darkness continues the notion that his brain tumor was the reason for him striking a pedestrian with his Corvette, and describes his current treatment at Duke whose cancer team was recommended to him by Ted Kennedy's wife, Vicki.
