First person to name the song those lyrics in the headline came from gets a no-prize. Own some of Billy Corgan. Really. It's not a good idea to e-mail a Playboy playmate via Myspace, especially when said playmate is dating the Bears' Adam Archuleta, you're from Aurora, and type in bold threatening capital letters. Some Wisconsinites have a unique take on the designated driver. What did you do on your summer vacation? (via) Give...

Coalfire is a new New Haven-style pizza parlor on Grand owned by longtime Matchbox bartender J. Spillane and partner Bill Carroll (Unrelated, Matchbox has the best margarita in the city, hands down). Now, anyone who's eaten at Piece is familiar with New Haven-style pie. The twist with Coalfire is that the pizzas are baked in a coal-fired oven, hence the name. The Reader's "Food Chain" blog has been keeping up on the Coalfire thread over...

Not to be outdone by a former editor, our own Rachelle "Chicagoist Prime" Bowden, in her non-pixellated form, will share the dais with CTA Tattler's Kevin O'Neill and Gapers Block jefe Andrew Huff on Wednesday's "Chicago Tonight." Phil Ponce will moderate a discussion with the three, asking them about our respective internet fiefdoms, how blogs disseminate information, the stories broken on the respective websites, and if Huff's sideburns have a life of their own....

Come this time Thursday morning, some of you will be nestled in the comforts of Mom's home cooking, or a friends', or your significant other's. Some of you might be doing the cooking yourselves, and wondering if you bit off more than you can chew by planning a menu centered around roast turkey breast wrapped in applewood smoked bacon and served with hazlenut mole. Many of you who still think going out the night before...

A few weeks back Chicagoist Prime got an e-mail from these guys who started a site called "Drink Town." It's a novel premise: list the nightly drink and food specials throughout the city's taverns and restaurants. But coding and typing up the list could become an exhaustive and time-consuming endeavor. That is, until Google unleashed its Google Maps API program. Then it became not only easier, but pretty damn cool, as well. For those...

Ahhhh. Thanksgiving. The time to visit family and, later, fight with them. It's a day where we try to convince people that Black Friday is actually named as such for another reason and we're not wasting an extra day off of work fighting for deals on sweaters that we wouldn't give to our amazingly adorable golden retriever. Thanksgiving means we watch football and get stupidly wasted the night before because there is some unspoken rule...

This Saturday night, Chicagoist Editor Rachelle Bowden (a.k.a. Chicagoist Prime) and Gapers Block editor and co-founder Andrew Huff are the featured guests on ImprovOlympic’s answer to Leno and Letterman—The Late Night Late Show. Hosts Mark Luge and Amit Mahtaney, channeling Craig Kilbourn and Ali G, respectively, stay up late every Saturday night to chat with Chicago celebrities and personalities. L.N.L.S. is mostly a straight-up talk show sprinkled with liberal doses of improv. Come out...

A few weeks back Chicagoist Prime made her first ever pilgrimage to the Ballpark Formerly Known as Comiskey and had to admit to having some fun at the game, particularly when the fireworks exploded whenever a White Sox player hit a home run. From there she intimated that both the Cell and Wrigley Field are fun in their own ways. She then went with her entourage to Rock Bottom Brewery after the game, unaware...
