We've got a little bit of everything today to get you out of the house and over the blues that have overtaken many because of this second Winter we have been experiencing. Besides, it is supposed to hit the 50's today, so time to celebrate.

With Don Imus shooting his mouth off, the same old recycled music, and Clear Channel dictatorially ruling the airwaves, radio is leaving a lot to be desired these days. That's why community stations like WLUW (88.7) are such an oasis in the desert of mainstream radio.

Dennis' Place for Games is something of an anomaly. It's an arcade tucked in a dark storefront near the Belmont L stop. Unlike the ESPN Zones of the world, Dennis' Place offers no food or drink. The only thing your money will get you is a fistful of cheap tokens. A Hamilton affords 80 tokens, which is enough for several visits or one trip filled with some seriously poor gameplay.

The people of Chicago have spoken. And apparently, we think a few rounds of Dance Dance Revolution is perfect for getting our swerve on. We saw this press release over at ABC7 listing some of the winners of AOL City Guide Chicago’s “City’s Best 2006” poll.
