While the White Sox prepare to face the Washington Nationals and their rookie phenom Stephen Strasburg Friday night, the White Sox have called up their own top prospect from the minors. The Sox recalled 21-year-old Dayan Viciedo from Triple A Charlotte, where he was batting .288 with 13 home runs and 31 RBIs. The Cuban defector signed with the Sox two years ago. For much of his baseball career, the slugger was a third baseman, but has been playing primarily at first base this season. But with Paul Konerko firmly planted there (for now) and Mark Teahen not playing well even when healthy, we expect to see Viciedo move back over to the hot corner for the South Siders. more ›
