A car salesman is having his fifteen minutes of fame after he was fired from his job yesterday for wearing a Green Bay Packers tie to work. John Stone was asked to remove his Packers tie yesterday when he arrived at Webb Chevrolet in Oak Lawn, where he worked as a salesman. Stone thought that his boss, Jerry Roberts, was joking and went on about his day. Roberts later fired Stone when Stone refused to remove the tie. more ›

Second place Democrat Senate candidate Cheryle Jackson made like the Chicago Bulls and dumped her campaign manager last week on Christmas Eve. Campaign Manager Rodney Shelton was replaced by Deputy Campaign Manager Lisa Hargrove. "It's just an internal move," campaign spokesman Bob Kettlewell said of the personnel change.
