Good Morning America's George Stephanopoulos was able to snare the first national television interview with Mayor Emanuel, which we're sure had nothing to do with their mutual ties to the Clinton White House.

Adventures in Blago-sitting: Inherit The Windbag
Tomorrow at high noon in Springfield, Governor Rod Blagojevich's impeachment trial will get underway but the Governor will be nowhere near the State Capitol. Instead, he'll be making the media rounds, hitting up talk shows, a move that cost him the services of superstar defense attorney Ed Genson. At least one local network (ABC 7) has said they'll stream the events in Springfield live tomorrow and suspect more will join. But what of the interviews? Today's Obligatory Drew Peterson Post
It's all Peterson, all the time these days. Drew Peterson was on the Today show again this morning, this time with his lawyer, who effectively prevented Peterson from saying anything of substance (couldn't prevent him from looking creepy, though). Last night, Peterson invited ABC 7 reporter Sarah Schulte into his house, and Wife #1 was on Good Morning America today, too. Really taking the cake, though, is the Sun-Times. A little while ago, we remember some ads seeking couples having issues with their sex lives. As Chicagoist sat breathless from the obviously satisfying relations we enjoy (do we REALLY need a partner?), we wondered how anyone could take their sex lives to national television to discuss their problems.
