Monday night we attended LTHForum's fifth annual Great Neighborhood Restaurants Awards dinner at Marie's Pizza and Liquors in the wunnerful Mayfair neighborhood, itself a previous winner of a GNR. 13 restaurants, 1 bar and 4 bakeries were added to LTH's already expansive list of GNR recipients; you can download their pocket guide here.

28 restaurants made the cut for LTHForum's 2008 Great Neighborhood Restaurant Awards. Among the winner, Chicagoist favorites Top Notch Beefburger, Jimmy's Red Hots, the Maxwell Street Market and the Violet Hour. The full list is available at LTH forum. [LTHforum GNR]

LTHForum's now accepting nominations for the 2008 Great Neighborhood Restaurants Awards. It's been a while since we've browsed the forums over there.

Chicagoist certainly will cop to this. We tend to avoid going out anywhere (and yes, this is really sad) that isn't within walking distance of our...

Chicagoist was super excited when we found out a couple of years ago that you can text message Google (GOOGL on the ol' cell) and it will give you the info you need. Aha, we thought to ourselves, never again will we aimlessly wander around looking for a restaurant. Now we can just Google it!
