Get Yer Grillin' On

We're signing off for the day, to fight the clouds and occasional raindrop to grill some burgers, chicken, etc and to relax for a little bit before the work week kicks in. Have a safe and wonderful rest of your holiday and we'll see you back here bright and early tomorrow!

We love our grill and it's not just for meat anymore. We served up grilled pineapple with big scoops of vanilla ice cream to top off our last barbecue and it proved to be a winner. Everyone around us is frantically grilling their way into summer, and, as usual, big chunks of meat seem to rule the day. In our search for alternatives to steaks and chicken breasts, we ran across an article that suggested grilling clams. After a couple of attempts, we can whole-heartedly say that clam-grilling is both tasty and entertaining – but the recipe needed some tweaking to fit our tastes. Next time you’re looking for something new, try it out!

Summertime means grilling out and we at Chicagoist unwrapped our grills with loving care to begin enjoying everything charcoal, hickory chips and even propane have to offer. Summer's the time to lose that winter weight gain and look good on the beach so we tried a few healthier alternatives to the typical burger here.

With the warmer weather upon us, we've been outside exercising more and not really into the heavier meals we enjoyed during our winter hibernation. What we've been digging is a well-made salad for a meal, but salads can get really repetitive and boring if you're not careful.
