There are "Adult Fans Of Lego" out there? Really? Actually, we find that kind of awesome. Happy Birthday Lego!

While most of the city was partying down at Lollapalooza this weekend, a different type of party was going on just a few blocks south of Grant Park: YearlyKos, the annual convention hosted by DailyKos, the netroots weblog started by Markos Moulitsas ZĂșniga, and filled with content, news and views by a motley crew of bloggers from around the nation (including Dick Durbin!). Saturday was a big day for the bloggers by the lake, with...

Chicagoist would like to open our day by wishing a very Happy Birthday to the woman who makes getting out of bed seem worth it: Ana Belaval, the Around Town feature reporter for WGN Morning News. Though we used to tune in to WGN for the comic stylings of Paul Konrad, we now find ourselves counting down the minutes until they dispense with all the fires, bombings and indictments in the first hour and get...

LAist has finally come around to purchasing tickets for Clipper Train. Hopefully someone will recite...

Thanks to everyone who came out for Chicagoist's Happy Birthday Happy Hour last night. It looks like immediately after work and in a bar in River North are the winning combinations to get a big crowd... or.. maybe it was the "free drinks" part. We're guessing it was the open tab because we blew through $200 in only about 45 minutes. We were happy to buy and thank you for reading and supporting the site over the past year!
