Bill Murray called in to the Howard Stern Show this morning to promote the DVD and Blu-ray release of Get Low. Stern (in our opinion, the best interviewer around) and Murray talked for over an hour about why Murray fired his agent, how Andie MacDowell's hair annoyed him on the set of Groundhog Day, how his experience at the Second City and Saturday Night Live was the best acting education he ever had, and the status of Ghostbusters 3. Turns out that the ball is in Murray's court. He just doesn't find it to be a priority.

Thursday Afternoon Diversion: Autotuning A Pizza Order
Here's what gets me through the morning while waiting for the rest of the staff to let me know posts are ready for my eyes: cappuccino, my dog at my feet and listening to Howard Stern through a pirated online feed.
Radio Rumble: Carl Kasell Vs. Howard Stern
While the actual Museum of Broadcasting remains a half-constructed shell of an building, the organization continues to induct members into its Radio Hall of Fame. Born contrarian Howard Stern is up for the honor (again) and like past years, he's lashing out against it and telling his listeners not to vote for him. Like Sherman, he will not run if nominated, he will not serve if elected. And all that was fine - until his invective turned to Carl Kasell.
Steve Dahl Jumps JACK
So the word is semi-official, according to Robert Feder ... Steve Dahl is moving from afternoons at WCKG to take over mornings on WJMK, better known as JACK-FM. Dahl is a pretty dependable commodity that we're reasonably certain will deliver the ratings. At the same time, WJMK has been the...
Elsewhere in the Ist-a-verse
Let's take a look back at a week that raised this Zen koan: if Kevin Federline got into a wrestling ring with a wrestler, who would you root for?
WCKG Throws Rover Right Over
Sometimes dogs are man’s best friend. And sometimes they just whine and pee all over your leg. Metaphorically speaking, the WCKG radio personality known as Rover was more of the latter as of late.
Cowboy Ray, RIP
Mancow sidekick Cowboy Ray Hoffstatter died last night from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run accident on South Archer in November. The driver, described as a woman who appeared to be drag racing a black Honda Civic, still hasn't been found.
Who?
With Chicago being the number three market in the country, you’d expect that when Howard Stern departs Infinity for the greener ($$$) pastures of Sirius satellite radio, he’d be replaced here with a marquee name befitting the great radio history of Chicago. Or Adam Carolla. Instead, Infinity chose to go with…Rover. *crickets chirping* Allow us to explain why: Infinity is hoping that the Glen Ellyn-born Rover (whose real name, Shane French, sounds much cooler in...
