You're super hyped for the annual Gathering of the Juggalos downstate, right? But what if you don't know much about them besides what you pick up from skimming blogs and that "Miracles" video? Derek Erdman is something of an expert on the subject having gone to previous Gatherings - which he called "999 times more exciting" than Pitchfork - and he's going to be talking all things Juggalo next week in a session at the Hungry Brain, something you might want to attend if you plan on surviving this or any future Gathering. Derek will be joined by Jenny Benevento. It's part of the ongoing "101" series presented by Homeroom in conjunction with local podcast You, Me, Them, Everybody. Remember when the fun police suspended the Everything is Terrible YouTube account? YouTube got on EIT’s case because they were posting hysterical clips extracted from old VHS tapes, which just so happened to be copyrighted material. Well now, EIT is back in full force, and you’ll find plenty of viral video fun on their BargainBinofOblivion Channel. And yesterday, they just announced the tour dates for an all-new live show and a movie titled 2Everything2Terrible2: Tokyo Drift. The tour will kick off at the Music Box Theatre on July 1 before traveling all over these great United States. more ›

EIT Feels YouTube's Wrath, Won't Be Deterred

It's a sad day, indeed. Not only did both Twitter and Facebook crash this morning creating a social media apocalypse, but now Chicago-based Internet video funny folks Everything Is Terrible - you've seen some of their videos pop up in our daily diversion posts - are feeling the Wrath of YouTube. According to a post on their site, it seems YouTube suspended their account and filtering through the comments reveals a link to this story which seems to indicate where the trouble started. Never ones to take things lying down, the EIT folks have already began transitioning clips to Vimeo so you can still enjoy. more ›
