Anyone who went to Green City Market (as we did) on Saturday saw a strange thing. About a block to the south, there was a grid of unoccupied paths laid out, like a ghost farmers market was taking place at the same time. Now we know why - Green City Market announced today that it was moving (slightly) starting this Wednesday.

The Ricketts family has asked the state of Illinois to borrow up to $300 million in a bond offering that will fund a major to Wrigley Field, the beloved but 96-year old ballpark of their recently purchased Chicago Cubs.
Goose Island Installs New Wort Receiver
Goose Island is set to increase their brewing capacity next week with the installation of a new 5,000-lb. stainless steel receiver tanks capable of holding 2,000 gallons of wort. According to the brewery, sales of 312 Wheat Ale, Matilda and the new Green Line Organic Pale Ale have each increased by 30 percent. The new receiving tank, which Goose Island had to demolish part of a wall to install, will allow them to increase their production from seven brewing cycles a day to eight, allowing them to keep up with demand and increase the brewery production by 15 percent.
CTA Expands Bus Tracker Tomorrow
The CTA bus tracking system will be expanded tomorrow, and with this enhancement will come a new service alerting riders to service disruptions at specific stops, or along routes. The alerts will work with Internet-enabled phones or desktop technology for people plugged into the net.
