Former White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers has a new gig now: CEO of Johnson Publishing Company which puts out well-known magazines . Rogers resigned from her position in the Obama White House after taking a lot of heat for last fall's gate-crasher incident at a White House state dinner. In a statement, Rogers said, “I am humbled to have such an incredible opportunity. I consider it an honor to help continue the 68-year legacy of such a phenomenal company and its iconic brands." A Mexicana Airlines flight overshot the runway at O’Hare yesterday, just after 7 p.m. The plane struck a concrete safety barrier -- an arrestor bed -- designed to stop planes that don’t want to stop. One person, a flight attendant, was injured and taken to the hospital. 142 people were evacuated from a stair truck and taken to the terminal on buses. more ›
