It was only weeks ago that Chicagoist was pleased to find that even national media had the same respect for the White Sox's radio duo of John Rooney and Ed Farmer that we do. Sadly, that team will soon bebreaking up after 14 years on-air together.

Chicagoist is a bit old school in that we still love to listen to baseball on the radio. Sure, more often than not we watch the games on TV, but there's a certain romance to having somebody describe the nuances of the game that can't be seen, that the slower pace of the sport allows for.
