It seemed fitting that this game should go to overtime and, in thee end, the better team won. But don't cry for the Blackhawks for long, people. They showed a lot of heart and determination in fighting back from a 3-0 deficit. In the process, the Blackhawks made some new stars and showed that there is some talent on the bench past the front line players. more ›

Morning Box Score: Blackhawks Douse Flames, Bulls Stumble in HotLanta

Morning Box Score: Blackhawks Douse Flames, Bulls Stumble in HotLanta

It would be unrealistic for Bulls fans to think their team can win every game from here to the end of the regular season, although their play before last night seemed to indicate anything can happen. With last night's 83-80 road loss to the Atlanta Hawks, what could be in the cards, as they close out their road trip this weekend with visits to Orlando and Miami, is the Bulls first three-game losing streak of the season. Credit Atlanta for scratching back after the Bulls jumped out to a 14-0 lead to start the game. The Bulls had no answer for Hawks center Al Horford, who put up a season-high 31 points to go with 16 rebounds. Horford was unstoppable late and scored the game-clinching dunk over Luol Deng. more ›

The Blackhawks are only two points behind Phoenix for fourth place in the conference and within striking distance of San Jose for third place. After a mostly frustrating season, the defending Stanley Cup champs are playing as though they think they can win it again, and their recent play indicates they aren't going down without a fight. Jonathan Toews, who's been the catalyst for the Blackhawks resurgence this month, continued his torrid pace. He and Patrick Sharp each scored in the second period. Toews has four goals in his last six games and 23 points in his last 14 games. more ›

Patrick Sharp scored off a Jonathan Toews pass in the first period for his team-leading 31st goal of the season.
