The best part about DVR-ing ABC’s 60th Primetime Emmys last night was that you could fast forward through Josh Groban’s embarrassing theme show montage and could rewind and re-watch the Gervais/Carell game of comedy chicken. Cheers, technology.

Frankly, whenever we read about record sales, digital rights management, and record companies, we usually switch off because the whole issue is stupid and always ends up more complicated than it should (iTunes or iTunes Plus?). The major record labels have always reminded us of our Drunk Uncle Pete; they're late to the party and only after our money, while indie labels have been distributing DRM-free music through retailers like eMusic for a while now.

Oprah’s 2007 Favorite Things show was last week. We thought since Oprah is deciding who our next president is going to be, we should catch yesterday's “Making Of” show, so we won’t be caught unawares when chocolate-covered-yogurt-soy-smoothies become national law. Yesterday's show was reasonably interesting. They went to Macon, Ga., for the taping, because Oprah's highest ratings are in Macon; 45% of the people in Macon watch Oprah. 45% of the people! The Pre-Show Ah, what to say. Everyone looks so...puffy. We're watching WGN because...well, we can't find the remote honestly. 6:10 PM - Do you even have the right to complain about cheesy presenters if you're watching an Oscar pre-show?
