Despite claims from Peoria Chiefs pitcher Julio Castillo that he threw a ball towards the Dayton Dragons dugout to keep them from charging the field, Judge Connie Price found Julio Castillo (pictured right) guilty of felonious assault causing serious physical injury. It's been almost a year since the epic bench-clearing brawl between the Peoria Chiefs (the Cubs A-level affiliate) and the Dayton Dragons and yesterday the trial of Chief pitcher Julio Castillo who injured a person when he threw a ball into the stands during the brawl; Castillo's defense was that he was aiming at the Dayton dugout. Seriously, though, Castillo is charged with felonious assault with a deadly weapon and felonious assault causing serious physical harm stemming from the incident.
