Lady Gaga wrote that she adores Chicago's Tavi Gevinson and said the 15-year-old's fashion blog, The Style Rookie, is "the future of journalism."

Local Songwriter Claims Lady Gaga is a Real-Life "Judas"
Rebecca Francescatti claims Gaga borrowed more than a little from her song "Juda" to create Gaga's hit single "Judas."
Friday Afternoon Diversion
If you happen to be traveling by air over the weekend we hope your safety announcement go a little something like this.
Please Don't Wear Meat!
Every drag queen in the city (and maybe even a few women) wants to look like Lady Gaga this Halloween, and we can't exactly blame them. The woman certainly has a theatrical flair for costuming, and she seems to fit perfectly with Halloween. But anyone thinking about going whole hog (ha) and replicating her famous meat dress should think again.
Victory Lap: Lollapalooza 2010
Yeah, we know, it's been a week since this year's Lollapalooza kicked off and several days since it wrapped up. But we're just clearing out some photos and taking one last trip down Lolla Lane before we put the official wraps on this year's fest. Enjoy some of our leftover photos and photos from our Flickr Pool. Until next year...
Looking Back: Lollapalooza, Day 1
Every year, we plan and plot our attack on the megafest that is Lollapalooza and every year we run ourselves ragged trying to see it all. It's an impossible feat, trying to squeeze in as much as possible while scurrying about Grant Park, trying to get in a little of too many bands. It never works. Something goes amiss, half a set is missed, moments pass and aren't appreciated. Lollapalooza, after all, is an experience, a marathon: the music, the people, the food, etc. For better or for worse. So this year, rather than spend 15-20 minutes at each stage, we decided to target a few bands and spend a little time taking in the festival experience as a whole. After all, that's what most people do, right? Day One was bright, sunny, and warm, and while it didn't present the overbearing heat the weather can bring in early August, it was still a good day to take it easy and get the lay of the land as the marathon fest kicked off.
Lollapalooza Schedule Released
The lineup is out and now we can start figuring out how we're going to criss-cross Grant Park to scramble and see every band we want to see (impossible). And what of the headliner battles? It's Lady GaGa vs The Strokes on Friday, Phoenix vs Green Day on Saturday, and Arcade Fire vs Soundgarden on Sunday. So get over to the fest website and start your planning.
Everyone's Going Gaga For GaGa
Lady GaGa's returning to Lollapalooza to headline this summer didn't really surprise us. If anything all it did was fill us with a mixture of anticipation for her stage show and dread she will be scheduled across from someone else we really want to see (read: Arcade Fire, The Strokes or Phoenix .. we dig Green Day but we'd be O.K. missing 'em for GaGa).
Advance Lollapalooza Tickets On Sale Now
In case you missed our reminder last night, advance general admission Lollapalooza tickets are on sale now for $190. Once these are gone, you'll have to shell out $215 for your three-day pass. This year's edition of the festival is August 6th through 8th.
Weekend Diversion
So apparently Lady Gaga has a new video out for her song "Telephone" and it features Beyonce, a women's prison straight off of a bad Skinemax movie with scantily clad women, product placement, and it's over 9 minutes long and it's weird. Whatever. As much as I love Beyonce, if want to watch two super-duper stars in an awful music video that will forever be burned into my corneas, I'll take Jagger and Bowie singing "Dancing in the Streets," thankyouverymuch.
Tuesday Afternoon Diversion: Pokerskate
We know you're all super excited about the Olympics, so let's combine one of the flashiest acts to appear in Vancouver with one of the flashiest acts to (potentially) appear at this year's Lollapalooza.
GaGa, Green Day And Grunge Rumored To Headline Lolla [UPDATED]
The Daily Swarm is claiming they've gotten the inside skinny from "multiple industry sources" that three of the Lollapalooza headliners will be Lady GaGa, Green Day, and Soundgarden. We admit that these names make sense, and we have been all but certain Soundgarden would be amongst the headliners since they announced their reunion earlier this year. For Lady GaGa it would be a victory lap of sorts, since she made her Lollaploooza debut on a tiny side-stage in 2007. And Green Day is one of the last remaining arena rock acts that haven't played the festival yet.
Do This: Rah rah ah ah ah ah rohma rah ma ma gah gah oh la la!
We fully admit: we've fallen under the spell of Lady GaGa. So don't be surprised if you find us at the newly remodeled Kit Kat Lounge on January 31 when it "Goes Gaga Over the Grammys." Oh, and here's an idea - you come, too!
Miss Lady GaGa? Try These Shows Instead
Lady GaGa is far from the only queer-friendly musician coming to the Windy City this winter/early spring. Check out these recommendations for five very good, gay-ish live shows we're looking forward to in the coming months, including La Roux, Miike Snow and Tegan and Sara.
Lady GaGa Apologizes For Venue Changes
Fans were none too happy to hear Lady GaGa was moving her Chicago show from The Chicago Theatre to The Rosemont Theatre.
GaGa Cancels Chicago Theatre Dates, GoesGoes To Rosemont
Lady GaGa's hotttly anticipated January 8, 9, and 10, 2010 appearances at The Chicago Theatre have been moved to the Rosemont Theatre. Livenation claims the move is "due to the size of the production" but we suspect it has more to do with Rosemont's capacity of 4,400 outstripping the original venue's capacity of 3,600. Fans who already have tickets must buy new tickets thorough a special pre-sale starting tomorrow Tuesday, December 29 at 5:00 p.m. All other tickets go on sale to the public January 4 at 10 a.m. Full details as well as refund information is here.
Friday Afternoon Diversion
Ho-ho-ho-hoker face? Yes please, including bonus Taylor Swift content to make Marcus squeal with glee.
Thursday Afternoon Diversion: Going GaGa
It's weird to think I've only really been aware of Lady GaGa since inauguration week when I heard "Just Dance" in a D.C. bar and marveled at how the room exploded. While I'm slightly bummed the Fame Monster EP shows the freaky vocal mannerisms and awesome lyrics of "Bad Romance" to be an interesting musical hiccup instead of the harbinger of a bold new direction -- sonically the EP hews incredibly closely to the more straightforward pop of her debut than the interesting tics and treats I was hoping for -- I still think she's just fucking fascinating in that art damaged NYC underground disco freakpunkrighton kind of way.
Kanye & Lady GaGa Cancel Tour
It's official, Live Nation has just made an announcement confirming that the Kanye West and Lady GaGa Fame Kills tour has been canceled. Color us bummed, the thought of the spectacle those two would've made on stage together ... it might have actually been something arena worthy in music for once. All tickets will be refunded.
Little Boots Deserves Her Dance Party
If Lady GaGa is '80s-era Madonna then Little Boots is her artsier new-millennial little sister. So why does it seem like she's being held back from GaGa levels of success?
