Lollapalooza announced their first wave of aftershows (and a few preshows since a number occur before the fest's Friday kick-off). The one that will probably elicit the biggest buzz, and sell out the quickest, is Death From Above 1979's show at The Metro on Thursday, August 4. After a near riot at SXSW, and a history of hard hitting shows -- they're one of the few bands to get a huge pit going at the usually mellow Pitchfork Music Festival -- their appearance in a smaller venue is one not to be missed. more ›

The great part of Lollapalooza is the music. The not-so-great part is the crowds.
