Ayee. It's always something. Looks like Looptopia.com isn't working at the moment, which is great because probably no one wants to check it before they leave work or anything. (We're getting "please check back." Katie Scully got "this account has been suspended.")

The Dusk til Dawn Cultural and Artistic Celebration that is Looptopia is upon us once again. Even though last year was sort of a let down, there was still plenty of cool stuff that happened and we've got hopes this year will be better, especially after officials said they'd scale things down and be better prepared for the crowd. We're keeping an eye on the the weather and hoping it doesn't throw too big of a wrench into plans.

Often, the readings and events we post are for your consumption, and while all attendees are participant of sorts, it's rare that a direct contribution of yours actually becomes a permanent part of the piece.

Last year, LaSalle Bank sponsored Looptopia. And they said they'd do it again...except Bank of America bought La Salle Bank, and now BoA is backing out of the deal. And Looptopia is in a few months. Uh, shit!
