An episode of NBC's Dateline show has prompted lawyers for Marni Yang to request a gag order in the case as well as a change of venue due to concerns the segment, which aired last week, might taint the potential jury pool. According to the Tribune, one of Yang's lawyers argued the segment delved into evidence and witnesses that has yet to be reviewed in court. The presiding judge requested a copy of the episode and a hearing on the matter has been scheduled for late September. Yang is accused of the 2007 murder of Rhoni Reuter and her unborn child; prosecutors allege Yang was jealous of Reuter's relationship with then-Chicago Bear Shaun Gayle. New charges have been filed against Marni Yang, accused of killing Rhoni Reuter, then-girlfriend of ex-Bear Shaun Gayle. Yesterday, Yang was indicted by a Lake County grand jury of intentional homicide of an unborn child; Reuter was seven-months pregnant with Gayle's child when Yang allegedly killed her. In addition, Yang was also indicted on nine counts of first-degree murder in connection to Reuter's death. According to Reuter's family, she had already named the baby - a girl - Skylar. The sentence for killing an unborn child is the same as first degree murder: 25 to life. [WBBM]

   

After prosecutors described what they believed were the machinations of the woman suspected of killing Shaun Gayle's, an ex-Bears player, pregnant girlfriend on Wednesday, details of the suspect's life prior to and after the 2007 murder are coming to light. Marni Kay Yang, 41, the accused killer, had shown a pattern of jealousy and possessive and erratic behavior before she was charged with the murder of seven-months pregnant Rhoni Reuter, 42, and her unborn daughter, already named Skylar.
