The brothers (literally, brothers, as in the brother O'Malley; Frankie, Michael O'Malley, and Patrick) in The Safes have somehow, inexplicably, flown been under our radar until now. Goddamn if we aren't so frickin' happy we've been introduced to them though.

Well, the empty lot that was once a Dominick's over in Lakeview/Boystown finally has a contract on the table for a new structure and the developer for the project, Michael O'Connor of Dionysius LLC, says "the date hasn't closed yet, but the contract is hard." We're trying to leave that be, and just be grateful. Every time we walk past that gaping hole, we sigh and lose a little bit more hope that it will be just another set of boxy, half-a-million dollar condominimums.

While some people have already cast their vote (Bush is up 12 votes and all 26 voters turned out in Dixville Notch), hopefully your giving us a quick look before you head out to the polls. Wait though, did you read that? Dixville? Moving on, information on these last couple of races on the ballot is hard to find. Especially on the race for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Commission. Does that mean they're not important and we shouldn't vote on these positions? Well according to the Daily Herald the Republican challengers for the three seats don't know either.
