Lions Scare Bears

Lions Scare Bears

We can understand if the Bears were more focused on their Christmas plans than their game against the lowly Lions. Especially since there was nothing to play for, with a first round bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs locked up already. But we figured they'd still have little difficulty beating the Lions. While they did end up winning the game 26-21, they had to work a little harder than expected. The Bears took... more ›

Bears Season Preview

The Bears open their 2006 season on Sunday against the Packers up in Green Bay. What a way to kick the season off! While the Bears look to figure into the playoff picture, the Packers are focusing on the Brett Favre farewell (maybe) tour. The Bears should open with a key road victory against a division opponent, but in these big rivalries, one never knows. So just how good are the Bears this year? That's... more ›

The Bears needs are most prevalent on offense, so Chicagoist expects the Bears to take either a running back or wide receiver... more ›

His deal, which guarantees at least $12 million, could be worth up to $30 million over 6 years. Muhammad caught 93 passes last season for 1,405 yards and 16 touchdowns. And that was after fellow WR... more ›

With the 4th Pick...

With the 4th Pick...

Another painful Bears season wrapped up Sunday, with the Packers avenging their earlier loss 31-14. In the rout, the Packers tied a team record with 9 sacks. And the Packers, having already locked up the NFC North title, mostly played their backups. Packers QB Brett Favre sat after the Pack took a 14-7 lead in the 2nd quarter. No matter, they still killed the Bears. more ›

Krenzel to get start on Sunday

Krenzel to get start on Sunday

The Jonathan Quinn era is officially over (for now) in Chicago. On Tuesday, Bears coach Lovie Smith named rookie QB Craig Krenzel as Sunday's starter. Rex Grossman, a grizzled veteran with 6 NFL starts under his belt, will be helping Krenzel prep for the game. more ›
