As nice as Mark Buehrle's perfect game earlier this year was, it doesn't quite measure up to one of the craziest athletic achievements: pitcher Dock Ellis throwing a no-hitter while tripping on LSD. No Mas and artist James Blagden have animated the story, set to Ellis' own words from a radio interview he did before he died last year. It's amazing.

Zambrano Throws No-Hitter
Cubs ace Carlos Zambrano threw a no-hitter tonight against the Houston Astros, a 5-0 Cubs' win. It was their first game since Hurricane Ike delayed and relocated the series. It had been 11 days since Z's last start and he became the first Cubs no-hitter in 36 years and the 17th Cubs pitcher overall to throw one. We'll have a bit more in the Morning Box Score tomorrow. Nice work, Molar.

This Kid Can Pitch
