A 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck near Ottawa, Canada just a bit ago and the Tribune is reporting it was felt here in Chicago though much less than that quake in February. Our pals at Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me felt the earth move, too, as did a few of our Twitter followers. We just thought it was the continued celebration from the U.S.'s thrilling, dramatic victory over Algeria at the World Cup. Chicago to Host International Rugby Tournament
Chicago has been selected as the host city for the 2008 Barclays Churchill Cup finals, the biggest international rugby tournament in North America. The Tournament will kick off in Ottawa, Canada on June 7th with several dates across Canada before converging on Chicago for the final day of matches. Perpetual Motion Roadshow In Town Tonight
Yeehaw, the Perpetual Motion Roadshow is back in town! Tonight, they'll be stopping at Quimby's (1854 West North). It's the last night of roadshow #17, "Born of Secret Transit," which has been on the…well, road for a week, stopping in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, New York, Cleveland and Cincinnati. Another Death at Skydive Chicago
A 31-year-old Chicago man died while skydiving yesterday at Skydive Chicago, near Ottawa. The death was the 15th at Skydive Chicago since 1993, including the June 2003 death of Skydive Chicago's owner Roger Nelson.
