The rumors have been stewing for months. Last night the Cubs finally pulled the trigger and traded Carlos Zambrano's talents, his mercurial temper and his me-first attitude to South Beach, and they'll be eating a major portion of the $18 million owed Zambrano in the process.

Ozzie Mouths Off to Esquire
Regardless of what happens after the White Sox wrap up their season, Ozzie Quillen's candor and lack of filter, for better or worse, will be missed when he eventually does leave 35th and Shields.
Likelihood of Ozzie's Return to Sox Dugout Fading
As the White Sox drop yet another game to the AL Central-leading Detroit Tigers and their tragic number quickly approaches zero, the chatter grows louder suggesting that skipper Ozzie Guillen won't be back in 2012.

Morning Box Score: Sox Lose, Ozzie Ejected, Tweets
The scouting report on Mark Buehrle is that he tends to have one bad inning per game. Last night, that was the first inning as Buehrle gave up a three-run home run to Robinson Cano, which was all the Yankees needed in a 3-1 win over the White Sox. Buehrle settled down and pitched well the rest of the way, going seven innings, but Cano's home run proved to be a major hole for the struggling Sox' lineup to dig themselves out, which they couldn't against a resurgent Bartolo Colon. Ozzie Guillen provided more fireworks. The Sox skipper was ejected in the first inning and tweeted about it immediately afterward. The White Sox and Yankees close out their series tonight (6:05 p.m., WSCR-AM, CSN)
Guillen: "We Have No Closer"
While we've been discussing the firebug tendencies of the White Sox bullpen in recent days, Ozzie Guillen minced no words after yesterday's loss to the A's.
White Sox To Play Tucson Charity Game
In the town now infamous for the shooting that killed six and left 14 others, including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, injured two months ago, the White Sox will play a charity game today in honor of the shooting's youngest victim. The White Sox and Diamondbacks will take the field in Tucson, AZ, with the proceeds benefiting a fund set up in remembrance of 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green. Christina was the granddaughter of former Cubs GM Dallas Green, who also held numerous other jobs with Major League teams. Her father is Dodgers scout John Green.
Jenks in Red, but Issues Remain in Black and White
Spring is almost here and I can smell the baseball in the air; or at least hear it. What’s a South Side season without some controversy? And what’s controversy without a lethal mix of social media and White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen?
While his socks may be red, former White Sox reliever Bobby Jenks’ issues remain in black and white. The now Boston Red Sox reliever said he was affected by some front office controversy last season and some choice words have been shared through the airwaves.
Guillen Scion Reacts Adversely to Jenks Comments
We love a good pissing contest as much as the next person. And when one starts from baseball players, even better. Baseball players who don't want to switch teams routinely rip their former organizations on the way out of town. Take former White Sox closer Bobby Jenks, who made late innings tense experiences for fans the past two seasons, had some choice words for Sox skipper Ozzie Guillen after he signed a two-year deal with the Boston Red Sox.
Ozzie Being Ozzie: Holiday Edition
The White Sox enlisted in Ozzie Guillen to help promote sales of a 13-game "Ozzie Plan" by having him film a commercial, with predictable results.
Ozzie's Got A Brand New Blog
Sure, he brought our city its only World Series in our, and even out grandparents', lifetimes. But White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen is perhaps more well known for his way with words. Doesn't matter whether spoken in interviews or tweeted, Ozzie's got a way for drawing attention to what he says. So it's only fitting that Ozzie gets a new platform for speaking his mind.
Ozzie Would Consider Ryno For Staff
Just because the Cubs chose to hire Mike Quade as their new manager doesn't mean Cubs legend and minor league manager Ryne Sandberg won't be in a Chicago dugout come spring. White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen stated recently on WSCR-AM that Ryno would make his short list to replace Joey Cora as bench coach should Cora land the Milwaukee Brewers manage job. When filling other recent vacancies on his staff, Guillen has considered the likes of Rene Lachemann, Jerry Royster and Pat Corrales.

Our Top 5 Craziest Mayoral Candidate Suggestions
With Mayor Daley announcing he will not run for reelection for mayor next year, there's a mad scramble across the city's political landscape. Things are about to get all Lord Of The Flies up in here with candidates coming forward and nominating petitions galore. Speculation is already beginning about what serious candidates will come forward and we'll have our own round-up in the morning. But we got to thinking, who would we actually like to see run just for the sheer insanity of it? So here they are, in no particular order, the top five crazy candidates for mayor we'd like to see come February 2011.
Guillen Rants Yet Again
Is it really newsworthy when White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen goes on yet another of his profanity-laced tirades? His latest one, before Wednesday night's game against the Twins, began after he was asked about Jim Thome. The former Sox slugger beat the team with a dramatic 10th inning walk-off homer the night before. Guillen obviously felt the need to defend the organization's decision to let Thome move on.
Ozzie Clarifies Remarks After Sox Respond
On Sunday, White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen caused a stir with his comments that Asian players in Major League Baseball received preferential treatment to Latino players. While reaction has spanned the spectrum, one group that's not having any of Ozzie's claim is his own team. The White Sox issued a statement saying, "This is an issue Ozzie Guillen obviously feels very passionately about. Ozzie certainly has his own experiences as a player, coach and manager, and is entitled to his own opinions, but the Chicago White Sox believe his views are incorrect." The team continued:
Guillen: Asian Players Get Special Treatment Over Latinos
Ozzie Guillen's comments have remained relatively free of controversy since the little Twitter flap in spring training. But he made a stir on Sunday when he knocked MLB for a double standard among its foreign players. Guillen said he believes that the Asian players are treated better than the Latino players when they come to the U.S. to play ball. Guillen based these comments on the fact that players from Japan and Korea get translators while the Spanish speaking players receive no such benefit. "Very bad. I say, why do we have Japanese interpreters and we don't have a Spanish one. I always say that. Why do they have that privilege and we don't?" Guillen asked.
Sox Show Gets Debut Date
In a move that's either perfectly timed or perfectly timed to jinx their big mid-season run, the White Sox are heading to the small screen this weekend in reality show form. Like "The Hills" with Ozzie and Kenny instead of L.C. and Heidi, "The Club" documents the White Sox' 2010 from January through the beginning of May in a six episodes, each an hour long. The series debuts this Sunday night at 8 p.m., but you'll need MLB Network to watch it. From Crain's:
