Morning Box Score: Bears Clip Eagles' Wings For 30-24 Victory

The Bears won the game on both sides of the ball, with the offense able to move the ball while the defense kept Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy mostly in check. more ›

Morning Box Score: Bears Put Down Vick, Eagles

It's taken better than two-thirds of the season, but we're finally buying into this Bears team. In a battle of 7-3 NFC division leaders, the Bears dominated for most of the afternoon and ended up beating the hot Philadelphia Eagles 31-26 at Soldier Field. more ›

Bears Pluck Win From Eagles

Bears Pluck Win From Eagles

This time, their late comeback attempt worked. For the second week, the Bears drove down the field in the final two minutes to score a critical touchdown. But unlike last week's loss to the Vikings, the Bears put the final points on the board and held on to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 19-16. For the first three quarters, neither team had any success getting the ball into the end zone. Repeated trips into the "red... more ›

At Least there was a game to Watch

At Least there was a game to Watch

Last night, the New England Patriots defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 24-21 in Super Bowl XXXIX. A pretty ugly game throughout, at least it was a close game from start to finish. Last night's game was only the second Super Bowl ever to go into halftime with a tie. And the first time a Super Bowl ever entered the 4th quarter tied. After 10 straight points by the Pats, the Eagles could only counter with 7 of their own before time expired, giving New England it's third NFL title in 4 seasons. more ›

Local Flavor to Super Bowl XXXIX

Local Flavor to Super Bowl XXXIX

Sure, it's been a while since the Bears played in the Super Bowl, but that doesn't mean that there are no Chicago ties to this year's big game. When the Philadelphia Eagles take on the New England Patriots (the ones the Bears beat 46-10 in Super Bowl XX), there will be plenty of locally grown players as well as a number of former Bears. more ›

Bears Lose to Eagles 19 - 9

And what was with the Bears abandoning the running game? You're starting a rusty QB, you've got the NFC's leading rusher in your backfield, and you only run 13 times? If Terry Shea keeps doing things like that, Chicago may start demanding they bring back John Shoop! Well at least Chicagoist can rest assured that the Bears won't lose this coming weekend -- it's their bye week. And they've still beaten the Packers! more ›
