The Bulls bounced back from Wednesday's loss and got a rare road win, eclipsing the Phoenix Suns 115-104. A big 19-9 run to end the second period helped swing momentum to the Bulls going into halftime. Which was necessary given the run the Suns had to open the second half. But, for once, the Bulls held off the rally and held on for victory. Derrick Rose led all scorers with 32 points. Even better? Rose was one of a handful of NBA stars who pledged to donate $1,000 for every point they scored last night to the Clinton/Bush Haiti fund. Luol Deng scored 23 and Joakim Noah had 19 points and 8 rebounds. Now it's time to see if the Bulls, still miraculously in the playoff picture as the eight seed in the Eastern Conference, can start a winning streak. According to reports, the WNBA may be expanding to Chicago. The women's pro basketball league is negotiating with a private ownership group to bring a team to Chicago in time for the 2006 season. Currently, most teams are owned by the league and run by the NBA teams in their markets.
