We've all had our fair share of interesting substitute teachers when we were younger. No matter how much we try to suppress our memories, we always seem to remember the substitute teachers that had definite "personalities": some were very awesome, but there were also some who were clearly insane. Falling into the more "badass" category, mayor-to-be Rahm Emanuel paid a visit to the Ralph Ellison School in Auburn-Gresham to teach AP Government to a classroom full of high school students.
Rahmbo Teaches An AP Class... And Likes It
Bill Clinton Coming to Chicago to Campaign for Rahmbo
Yes, the rumors are true - former president Bill Clinton will be stopping by the Chicago Cultural Center on Tuesday, January 18th to rally for Rahm Emanuel. But as some may have expected, Clinton's visit to Chicago isn't necessarily a visit that everyone is excited about.
Rahm Roundup
Heeeeere’s Rahm. Local and national media are all atwitter now that Rahm Emanuel has made his mayoral bid all official with this video online announcement:

Mayor '11: While Sources Say Dart's In, Rahm's Still The Word
Sources close to Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart are telling the Associated Press that the county's top cop is "all the way in," adding that "he's decided to run." When asked directly of his plans by an AP reporter, Dart demurred, saying that he is "very strongly considering" a run for mayor that he plans to make an announcement in the next three or four weeks. Dart's name has been among the many that have been mentioned as potential replacements to Mayor Daley, who is not seeking re-election. Former Chicago Alderman and University of Illinois political scientist Dick Simpson was more blunt about Dart's prospects, telling CBS2 that "he automatically -- if he declares -- will be the leading candidate." Petitions have been circulating to get Dart's name on the ballot for mayor, although he's told the media that his supporters have asked if they could put petitions out and there is no organized effort.
Oprahfied Chicagoans
As Oprah enters the final season of her Chicago-based morning talk show, the show's website is giving visitors a chance to "Oprah-fy" yourself (kind of like the way you could Simpsonize or Mad Men-ize yourself). So because it's Friday and we have nothing better to do, here are seven Chicagoans (or Chicago-connected folks) we wanted to see Oprahfied.
Couric Chats With Rahmbo
Last night, as Rahm and the rest of the Obama administration was making sure everything was lined up in favor of that Health Care vote, 60 Minutes aired a Katie Couric feature on Rahmbo. There's not really much to learn but he does share what happened to that finger which just proves that Rahm is one tough SOB.
Extra, Extra
It's getting really nasty really fast out there, folks so be safe driving/walking/biking/teleporting home.
Candidates Vie for Rahm's Old Seat
With the new Obama administration settled into the West Wing and Illinois 5th District Congressman Rahm Emanuel resigned from congress and serving as White House Chief of Staff, Democrats, Republicans and Greens are lined up to take his place in the House of Representatives.
