Diff'rent Strokes Actor And Zion Native Gary Coleman Dies

Sad news from out West today where Gary Coleman, star of TV show Diff'rent Strokes and Zion, Illinois native, passed away at the age of 42. Coleman suffered a brain hemorrhage earlier this week at his home in Utah and entered a hospital on Wednesday. Things took a turn for the worse, though, and his life support was terminated earlier this afternoon. While best known for his role as Arnold on Diff'rent Strokes, Coleman appeared in a number of commercial spots and other television shows. But he also earned some fame for running in the 2003 California gubernatorial recall election, finishing 8th overall as an Independent candidate (garnering over 14,200 out of roughly 9.4 million total votes). more ›

Actor Peter Graves passed away over the weekend at the age of 83. Perhaps known best for his role in the original Mission: Impossible TV series, Graves is also remembered for dozens of films, especially his role as Capt. Clarence Oveur in Airplane!. And one enterprising YouTuber put together a video featuring all of Graves' parts from the Airplane! movie. more ›
