Those Darlins As Not A Girl Band
The gals from Those Darlins are far from darling, but you probably already guessed that from their picture. A more appropriate term for this unruly all-girl trio might be ‘hot mess.’ But we wouldn’t dare call them a ‘girl band,’ mostly because we’re scared they’d be waiting for us outside with baseball bats and sweetly sinister smiles. Made up of members Jessi, Nikki and Kelly Darlin, the band hails from Murfreesboro, TN, so their brand of garage/punk is blended with shades of twangy, dirty down-south country, sounding like the love child of Patsy Cline and The Clash.

If you’re a fan of The Replacements or The Black Lips (who they often perform beside), then we recommend you check out Mannequin Men tonight at the Empty Bottle.
Friday Flashback - The King Has Left The Chicago Stadium, Long Live the King

So we poked our Lexis Nexis account with a stick and peered back through time, back to the beginning of it all in 1956.
An OK Play in a Pretty Package
Academics and dramaturgs are trained to worship Stoppard. The mere allure of complex ideas that can be BS’d in every which way is what keeps them employed. However, when the average theatergoer gets a taste of Stoppard’s genius served up on a beautiful silver platter in Rock ‘n’ Roll at the Goodman, he tends to get confused.
