Morning Box Score: Rose Has Career Night Versus Spurs
Derrick Rose said last night's game against the San Antonio Spurs was a "statement" game. Then he went out and backed up his talk against the team with the NBA's best record. Rose scored a career-high 42 points and dished out 8 assists as the Bulls made relatively easy work of the Spurs 109-99. Rose, who had been in a shooting slump lately, looked for his shot early, driving to the basket for a variety of jackknife layups. He ended the night 18-28 from the field; the shots made were another career high for Rose.
Morning Box Score: Hawks Soar, Bulls Fall
The Bulls and Blackhawks had different results on their respective road trips last night.
Bulls Begin "Circus Trip"
It's that time of year when the 'Hawks and Bulls are evicted from the United Center by the tigers and elephants, along with the clowns and the rest of the Ringling Bros. Circus.
Welcome Home
The Bulls welcome the Orlando Magic to the United Center tonight, their first home game in over two weeks. They concluded their annual "Circus Trip" on Sunday, when they beat the Houston Rockets 94-89. That win pulled the Bulls record on the West Coast swing to an even 3-3.
Is There Such Thing as a Good Loss?
The Bulls are less than a week into the regular season and have played three games so far. They've got a 1-2 record. But Chicagoist is more positive about this team than we were heading into the season. That's because the last two games, while losses, were very tight games against very good teams.
