Manuel Reyes, 55, a 3rd grade teacher at Raymond Ellis Elementary School in Round Lake Beach, is being accused of allegedly molesting four female students. "We expect there could be additional victims," prosecutor Jason Humke said to the Chicago Sun-Times during Reyes' bond hearing this week. Deborah J. Cox, 58, of Naperville was arrested on Thursday and charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student who graduated in June from Neuqua Valley High School, police said via the Chicago Sun-Times. Cox is a former teacher's aide at the school. The investigation initially began as a tip to the Naperville police last August. more ›

Chicago firefighter Jose Moreno has been charged with sexually abusing three children. Not many details are known other than the alleged abuse was reported on December 12 and Moreno is alleged to have abused three children under the age of 10. Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said, "The department is saddened that such charges are necessary. We will cooperate completely in any way we can with the Chicago Police Department as the process develops." more ›
