Toots L’Amour performs locally with the Lavender Cabaret and was the subject of a Chicagoist interview once upon a time. And speaking of once upon a time, L’Amour took to the NBC stage last night dressed, temporarily, as Snow White before beginning a burlesque striptease routine that would make a bulldog hug a hound.
Marshall Field's Holiday Windows Unveiled
Chicagoist went by Marshall Field's to check out the holiday windows that were unveiled this weekend. We'd heard the theme this year was going to be Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and were disappointed when we got to the first window to see that it was the tired story of Cinderella. We guess.. it's a classic, but it would have been refreshing to see Charlie in the windows. Also, it took us a bit to figure out which was Cinderella and which were the ugly stepsisters. .. because Cinderella, this year she sure ain't much to look at.

Chicagoist is so excited that the holiday windows are up at Marshall Fields on State, but we’re really surprised that this year, after stellar past years of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Harry Potter, the Grinch that Stole Christmas and the like, that our friends from the Baton Show Lounge are out in force, only in miniature, with heads of papier-maché.
