The Hideout's excellent seasonal Soup and Bread benefit is returning for a special, all summer soup (read: cold) edition tonight to benefit the Garfield Park Conservatory. The Chicago landmark sustained heavy damage after last week's hail storm, with roughly half of its glass-paned roof shattered, and damage to some of the rare plants housed below. more ›

Bluebird is holding what they call a “Deep Tasting,” a beer event in collaboration with Left Hand Brewing Company, next Tuesday at 7:30. The company will be serving its entire line of beers, and they will also be pulling some vintage brews out of the back of the refrigerator - pretty much exclusive to this event, unless you know someone who knows someone.
