What's emerging is a story of a woman who, like many of us, has had her share of financial struggles, but one whom supporters say wouldn't make the accusations out of the blue.

GQ Names Hawk Harrelson Worst Announcer In Baseball
GQ released their list of five best and five worst broadcast teams in baseball, and it probably comes at little surprise that White Sox broadcaster Hawk Harrelson ushered his pairing with Steve Stone into the #1 spot for worst broadcast booth. In their summary, which lets partner Stone off the hook entirely, Hawk is taken to task for his unabashed homerism as well as his "folksy" Hawkisms. We agree that listening to Harrelson announce our team's games is insufferable. We don't know which phrase of Hawk's we hate more: "He gone!," "Hang wuf 'em" or "Dagnambit!" They all pretty much suck.

Steve Stone Joins Sox Radio Booth Full Time
We're not sure than the 2008 White Sox will be any more tolerable to watch than last year's team, but they'll no doubt be easier to listen to -- at least on the radio. That's because Steve Stone will be replacing Chris Singleton alongside Ed Farmer, the team announced on Tuesday.

Sox Radio Team Splitting Up
It was only weeks ago that Chicagoist was pleased to find that even national media had the same respect for the White Sox's radio duo of John Rooney and Ed Farmer that we do. Sadly, that team will soon bebreaking up after 14 years on-air together.
2005 Baseball Preview
Like the tulips beginning to poke from the dirt and construction cones sprouting along the roads, the annual optimism of opening day symbolize the coming of spring in Chicago. The Cubs and White Sox both open their seasons today, fans hoping the substantial changes each team made during the off-season will pay off with a World Series title come October. Will they? Chicagoist will give a quick summary of the changes, some points of interest...
Have the Cubs Filled Their Broadcast Booth?
As Chicagoist reported previously, the Cubs had a couple high profile vacancies in their broadcast booth to fill this off-season after both Chip Caray and Steve Stone.
Sound of Silence
Less than a week after agreeing to return to the Cubs broadcast booth, Steve Stone reversed course and resigned as the Cubs TV analyst. According to sources, Stone felt the situation remained too tense between him and members of the organization following a number of run-ins with players and coached this season over some of Stone's on-air comments. However, he didn't give his reason in an open letter to Cubs fans released by Stone.
Cubs Save End of Season Fire for Off the Field
The Cubs sure went out quietly, losing 7 of 9 to close out the season and missing out on making the playoffs. But the Cubs have sure made a lot of noise off the field. Everybody seems to be feuding, blaming others for the team's failures.
