JamesOn, JamesOff?

We always imagined it'd be pretty hard to get into too much trouble in a place like Boise. The Bulls' second-round draft pick JamesOn Curry, currently playing for the Iowa Energy in the NBA's developmental league, however, managed to find enough to be arrested in the Idaho town early Thursday morning and to be charged with urinating in public and resisting arrest. more ›

Bulls Bench Noah for Second Game

Bulls Bench Noah for Second Game

The Bulls are 14-21 as we near the half-way point of the season, and a crummy record seems to be reflective of a crummy locker room. The league suspended Joakim Noah for a game for shouting at assistant coach Ron Adams on Friday, and his teammates unanimously voted yesterday to suspend him for another game. He watched the Hawks bitchslap the Bulls from a chair behind bench, in street clothes. more ›

Bulls Get Their Top Target

Bulls Get Their Top Target

With the draft behind him, Bulls GM John Paxson hoped to fill the Bulls' need for a low-post scorer via trade or free agency. Without wanting to break up the team's young core, and without much cap room, Paxson didn't have a lot of options as the free agency period began last Wednesday. more ›

Yes, Noah

Yes, Noah

The NBA's annual draft took place Thursday night, and the Bulls added three new faces to the roster. With the ninth pick--which the Bulls had via the Knicks due to the Eddy Curry trade--they selected Joakim Noah from Florida. If nothing else, he certainly made the biggest fashion statement of the night with his seersucker suit, bow tie and crazy hair. Picking Noah was certainly consistent with GM John Paxson's style of going after players... more ›

Bulls Go Down in Game 6

Bulls Go Down in Game 6

Well, the Bulls certainly didn't go down without a fight — not even after falling into a 3-0 series hole. But down they ultimately did go, losing to the Detroit Pistons 95-85 in Game 6 on Thursday night at the United Center. For a half, actually forcing Game 7 seemed like a realistic possibility as the Bulls took a 48-43 lead into the locker room. P.J. Brown had the playoff game of his long career,... more ›

Bulls Win Again

Bulls Win Again

We really thought that Tuesday night would be the end of the Bulls' season after the way that the Pistons demolished them in games one and two in Detroit. In those two games, the Bulls looked like some middle school team playing an NBA team. Sure, the Bulls looked pretty good in game four, at home and with Detroit sitting pretty with a 3-0 series lead. But Detroit couldn't possibly get caught sleeping again, could they? more ›

Bulls Play Like S#!& Again

It was a different night, but the same results for the Bulls in Game 2 in their best-of-seven series against the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons jumped out to another early lead and never looked back, pounding the Bulls once again 108-87. The Bulls were outplayed in every aspect of the game yet again. The Bulls still couldn't shoot; a 34% overall shooting percentage just won't cut it. Kirk Hinrich was 0 for 7 from the... more ›

Can Hinrich Keep His Cool Against Heat?

Chicagoist is known to throw things when calls don't go our team's way, too, but it's a little harder to get away with when actually playing in the game. One night, one game, but three seeds lost on the final night of the NBA's regular season for the Bulls. Ben Wallace Banged Up But Day-to-Day

Things looked pretty bad when the Bulls' medical staff had to carry Ben Wallace off the court during Saturday night's game against the Miami Heat. At first, a season-ending injury was feared. Initial examinations of his knee, however, seemed positive. Said Bulls trainer Fred Tedeschi: The way we had to carry him off, we thought we were dealing with potentially a season-ending injury. A British Take

A British Take

While combing the news feeds for morsels worthy of your attention we stumbled upon a positive review of Chicago as a tourist destination. The author gives a very British description of our city, describing the downtown area as having a “Tardis quality,” (a term from the 1960’s TV show "Dr. Who," which the Brits use to describe anything that seems of different size on the inside than it does on the outside) and he does not once mention The Bulls or The Mafia. more ›
