The Chicago Fire defeated Major League Soccer's top team, D.C. United, by a score of 3-0 to advance to the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Final on September 27th. After a scoreless first half, the Fire lit things up with a game winner from Justin Mapp in the 58th minute. Rookie Calen Carr provided the insurance, scoring goals in the 76th and 91st minute. For anyone who like the animated sequences in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to The Galaxy movie better than the parts with actual people, you’ll want to head to The Gene Siskel Center tomorrow night.
