We warned you this morning, didn't we? We knew this breezy, warm, sunny day was all a precursor to more tumultuous weather on the horizon. Indeed, the Storm Prediction Center at the National Weather Service has plastered a good chunk of Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin under a Tornado Watch through 8 p.m. tonight. As of now, Cook County is included in the watch, but we expect that to change as the afternoon wears on and those storms barrel our way. Be careful out there heading home tonight. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has issued a Tornado Watch for a good chunk of Northern Illinois (though Cook County is not yet is now included) and a large band of heavy rain is headed our way.
