U of C Press Offers Free Robert Pinsky Book
Way before politicians co-opted the term "Main Street" to mean "Real America," author and former United States Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky lived in a small town where the main street was named Broadway and he captured the highs and lows of living in Long Branch, New Jersey in his 2009 book Thousands of Broadways: Dreams and Nightmares of the American Small Town.

Isaac Tobin And His Book Covers
Isaac Tobin's been quietly going about his business in The Windy City, fashioning some great pieces as a senior designer for the University of Chicago Press since 2006. Tobin received his BFA in Graphic Design from RISD in 2002, spent some time as a Book Designer at Beacon Press and then freelanced in Buenos Aires for a year before finally arriving to Chicago to work on his designs. While Tobin ventures into various mediums, his prized work exists in his book covers, combining a modern feel with classic sophistication. His work is simple yet striking, satiric at times and always beautiful. We appreciate his ability to work from all angles and truly capture the essence of what the containing work is all about. If Tobin's on the project, definitely judge a book by its cover.
