The Chicago Wolves find themselves down 3-0 and on the road in the American Hockey League Western Conference Finals. With a win the Hamilton Bulldogs will make it to the Calder Cup final for the second time in as many years. If the Bulldogs pull of the sweep it would be the first time in their club history.

The Chicago Wolves hosted the Iowa Stars on Saturday night in Game 6 of the West Division Finals. The Wolves fell behind early, 1-0, just two minutes and eight seconds into the game. That goal would be Iowa's only score of the night while the Wolves scored five to win the series 4-2.
One night, one game, but three seeds lost on the final night of the NBA's regular season for the Bulls. Heading into the final game, the Bulls had the upper hand in winning the second seed in the Eastern Conference. All they had to do was win. Or Cleveland had to lose. But neither came to fruition.

On our calendar this weekend is something new to us but has actually been in Chicago for four years - Women's Full Contact Football. That's right, the Chicago Force, a member of the Independent Women's Football League (IWFL), plays football here in Chicago. The Force is one of more than 30 teams nationwide competing in the IWFL. The Chicago Force competes in the Midwest Division of the Western Conference. Chicagoist learned about the Chicago Force when we saw a schedule painted on the side of Hero's Submarine Sandwich Shop.
The Miami Heat, led by the Shaquille O'Neal of old (30 points, 20 rebounds) overwhelmed the Bulls at the UC last night, winning 113-96. We began to appreciate just how well Tyson Chandler played defense against Shaq, before spraining his ankle -- he had another subpar night, playing just 18 minutes as foul trouble again plagued him.
