Chicagoist had to walk by it a few times before we realized that Sausalito was not another nail salon or random retailer, but rather a cute but clever Italian eatery and martini bar. With unassuming, but creative décor, Sausalito features golden yellow walls with rich red drapes, colorful paintings, dark wood chairs and white-clothed tables. The overall effect is a clean but design-conscious space. With warmer weather, the outdoor patio is now open (Chicagoist is all about people-watching over our meal).
Sausalito: Hidden Among Storefronts
He was on a Break
Cubs fans can rest easy once again now that Ronnie "Woo Woo" Wickers has been found, alive and ... well alive and himself. Chicagoist questions whether he's ever been well. "I've been around, trying to catch up with Dusty Baker and talk to him about pitching and why we're 14 games back," Wickers said. "I was just on an All-Star break, like the players. I've just been spreading love."
Woo Woo's Boo Boo
#1 Cubs fan Ronnie "Woo Woo" Wickers was hit by a car yesterday near the intersection of Clark and Addison. While the Cubs are currently on the road, when not Wooing, Ronnie makes money washing windows in the Wrigleyville neighborhood.
Ronnie Woo Woo Hates School
Patricia Samar's 13 year old son missed more days school since the fall of 2002 than he days he actually attended - almost 200 days. For this, Samar is facing misdemeanor charges for truancy of a student and could spend 30 days in jail and have to pay a hefty $500 fine.
