Even the cops can't get enough Wilco. While our Chicagoist photographer sat in line waiting to get into Friday night's show, a CPD cruiser drove by by with the intro to "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" planking away on it's megaphone, eliciting a roar from the crowd. The band is playing a 5-night stand at The Riv that looks to span the group's collected works. Tonight's show is being broadcast live on......

It's no secret that Chicagoist is a teeny bit of a wine snob, if by "snob" you mean "knows enough about it to pick a bottle based on virtues other than it has a pretty label." We love wine and we especially love mixing it with things ... for instance, with a good cause. After all, if we're going to be drinking, let the drinking be done to benefit someone else rather than just ourselves......

Friday night the free concert event of the evening was Pete Yorn at the Vic brought to us by Fusion Flash Concerts. Chicagoist missed the actual indoctrination (sorry, advertising) part of the night regarding the new Ford Fusion, but still rocked out to Yorn.
