We went on a serious ZZ Top jag Saturday, listening to every album up to in one sitting. The reason was an old Navy buddy referenced today's weather headline in an album of post-blizzard photos we uploaded to our facebook page. It just seems fitting today that we found a video of a live performance of "Jesus Just Left Chicago" on Youtube.

After seeing their viewer numbers plummet over the last few weeks, the major networks forced their late night talent back on the air last night. David Letterman took the high road, working out a deal with his writers so they could return with him, but keep in mind that he owns the production company that puts out his program. We suspect neither Conan O'Brien or Jay Leno are too jazzed to return without their writers, but since their shows are owned by the networks, they don't have the same kind of leverage.
Five Star Gets Three
If bars were ranked on a four-star scale, Five Star would get three big gold ones. Located at 1427 W. Chicago, Five Star is a relatively new addition to the neighborhood. Opened in May, the spot already draws a trendy, but laid-back crowd. As Chicagoist walked through the cutting winds and cursed winter for overstaying its welcome, we tried to think happy thoughts about warmer climates.
