Chance the Rapper is no stranger to 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The Chatham-native hip-hop favorite has performed on Saturday Night Live multiple times, and he even garnered an Emmy nod for his work in last year's wonderful Obama-themed Run DMC parody, "Jingle Barack." But Chance has never actually hosted the show, though that's about to change: SNL announced the next three weeks' worth of hosts and musical guests for the 43rd season, and there was Chance's name on the marquee slot. He'll host on Nov. 18, with Eminem slated as the musical performer.

Chance debuted on SNL in 2015, performing "Somewhere in Paradise" and "Sunday Candy." And he joined Kanye and a whole mess of other performers for a standout version of West's "Ultralight Beam" in February of last year. (Chance memorably referenced the Laquan McDonald case in both appearances.)
The funniest moment however was definitely the aforementioned, much-loved "Jingle Barack," equal parts letter-perfect love letter to "Christmas in Hollis" and Obama, last year. If Chance secretly hopes to make the Timberlake-ian transformation into reliable SNL ham, that was certainly a fine opening salvo. He certainly seems to agree, anyway:

Relive the memories below, and set your DVRs accordingly. Maybe his work will one day be featured in a museum.
