Chicagoist loves history, especially local history, so we were pleased today when we visited the Chicago Tribune Magazine online and found a feature called Chicago at the Crossroads - 1904. We easily whiled away an hour looking over all of the information available.
The flash photo album showing photos of prominent leaders of the time and scenes from daily Chicago life is especially interesting. Also, the quiz was fun, if not short. Chicagoist managed to get 66% right on Chicago trivia from 1904. We think the fact that we've read The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson, which took place in the late 1800s, helped.
