Crest Hill House Explosion

So .. here's a quiz: What should you not do when you smell gas in your house? Light a match? Yes, you're exactly right. But that's what two residents of the southwest suburb, Crest Hill, did. And then their house exploded. A woman was trapped inside while her son stumbled out covered in glass. The woman, believed to be in her 90s, was airlifted to the hospital. Said a neighbor "I looked out the window and all this stuff was going up in the air all wood and everything and the house going up and I screamed bloody murder because two people were in there." Chicagoist knows this is a serious incident but couldn't hold in a chuckle or two when we read this story and the quote.
